McDonalds Midwest Regional Career Fair & Super Step Show Classic
Cleveland365.com is proud to present the McDonalds Midwest Regional Career Fair & Super Step Show Classic. Today, over a million African-American and Latinos belong to public-service fraternal organizations. Included in these organizations are active chapters on nearly every college campus around the country and alumni chapters in cities throughout the country.
Career/College Fair: The day will begin with FREE regional Career Fair. Attendees will be able to connect with corporations and universities, to learn about opportunities, internships, graduate and undergraduate programs.
More importantly, we will have workshops facilitated by regional professionals to provide attendees with soft skills enhancement. Topics will include careers in the new economy, including the importance of internships, interview preparation, business etiquette, resume building etc…
Step Show Classic: Attendees will experience a fun-filled afternoon of high energy entertainment and expression that the entire family can enjoy. The Super Step Show Classic is a cultural unity event where all are welcome to enjoy the traditional, rhythmic steps of pride from the various organizations that will be competing. The Midwest Step Show Classic winners will be awarded over $ 5,000.00 in cash prizes and scholarships that will help further their local community service projects.
African American Greek Letter fraternities and sororities originally helped develop the popularity of step shows. Step shows have spread across the country and around the world. From campus organizations and church groups to high schools and local communities, more and more people are becoming involved in stepping. Recently, Hollywood even got in on the act with the release of Sony Pictures “Stomp the Yard” capitalizing on the national popularity of Step Shows.
